A Collin County estate that’s just hit the market offers genuine country living just a short commute from major employment centers.
The 14-acre estate east of U.S. Highway 75 off of Parker Road is one of the largest spreads in that area. It’s in the town of Parker, which is next to Allen.
The property with its $3.495 million price tag includes a stately home, an equestrian center and a one-of-a-kind office built into a stable building.
There are five horse pastures, a chicken coop, potting sheds, gardens, a polo practice field and landscaped grounds with mature trees.
The more than 6,000-square-foot house has six bedrooms and six and a half baths. There’s a media room and a saltwater pool.
The original house was built in the 1980s and significantly remodeled in 2006 and 2017, said owner Bernard Uechtritz of Icon Global Group, who has decided to put the estate up for sale.
Icon Global Group is marketing the property.
“I bought the property in 2004 and began acquiring the properties around it,” Uechtritz said. “We gutted the house back to the studs.”
Uechtritz said he’s decided to downsize now that his kids have moved away.
“I’m going to move out to Cedar Creek Lake where our horses are,” he said. “We’ll probably keep an apartment on Turtle Creek.”
The property can be divided and still maintain the large house and stable buildings.
“There is 12 acres or more than can be developed into 2-acre home lots,” Uechtritz said. “To have a place with 14 acres that’s 20 minutes from Uptown is rare.”
